We are a Czech IT company with a global reach. We provide services across Europe and Asia. Our main business is developing, maintaining, and operating applications and systems for our customers. At this moment, we are looking for a new colleague to strengthen our Commercial team around Bid management.
The Bid Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the preparation and submission of proposals for new business opportunities. This critical role at EmbedIT ensures that our bids are not only competitive and compelling but also legally sound, compliant, and financially viable.  

Your future role: 

  • Bid Planning and Strategy Development: Develop comprehensive bid strategies, including win themes, value propositions, and key differentiators, to create a compelling case for EmbedIT's solutions and services. 
  • Bid Team Coordination: Assemble and lead a cross-functional bid team, including subject matter experts, sales teams, and technical specialists, to gather the necessary information and resources for the proposal. 
  • Legal and Compliance Review: Ensure that the bid complies with all relevant laws, regulations, industry standards, and client-specific requirements. 
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify potential legal, compliance, reputation and financial risks associated with the bid, and develop strategies to mitigate those risks. 
  • Financial Adequacy and Profitability Analysis: Collaborating closely with our Finance team, assess the financial viability of the bid, including analyzing pricing models, cost structures, and profit margins, to ensure the proposed solution aligns with the company's financial objectives and the client's budget. 
  • Proposal Development and Review: Oversee the development of the proposal, ensuring consistency with the EmbedIT’s commercial approach, and compliance with the client's requirements. 
  • Client Engagement and Relationship Management: Collaborating closely with our account management team, maintain relationships with potential clients, understand their needs and expectations, and address any questions or concerns they may have during the bid process. 
  • Contract Negotiation and Management: Support the negotiation of contractual terms with the client and oversee contract management throughout the project lifecycle. 
  • Compliance Monitoring and Reporting: Working closely with our Legal and Compliance teams, ensure ongoing compliance with contractual obligations, laws, and regulations throughout the project delivery and report on compliance-related matters as required. 
  • Continuous Improvement: Analyze the outcomes of previous bids, identify areas for improvement, and implement best practices to increase the company's win rate and overall bid quality. 


Your experience and skills: 

  • Education: University degree in Business Administration, Law, Finance, or a related field. 
  • Minimum of 5 years in bid management, preferably within the IT consultancy/service sector.
  • Project Management Skills: Proficient in leading cross-functional teams. 
  • Legal & Financial Acumen: Deep understanding of legal, compliance, and financial aspects related to bidding. 
  • Communication & Negotiation: Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. 
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex problems. 
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills. 
  • Pressure Handling: Ability to work effectively under pressure and tight deadlines. 
  • Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively in a team. 
  • Language: Proficient in English and Czech/Slovak communication.
