Country Finance Lead

Role description

  • Place of work: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

We are looking for an experienced and business-oriented professional to lead our local finance agenda in Ho Chi Minh City. This role combines hands-on financial management with strategic business partnering. You will oversee the full financial cycle – from budgeting and forecasting to financial reporting and P&L ownership – while leading a small local team (Financial Accountant + Finance/Admin Support). 

You will play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, transparency, and healthy business performance, acting as a trusted partner to local and international stakeholders. 

You will be responsible for the following tasks

 in a very close cooperation with EmbedIT HQ Finance team in the Czech Republic

  • Full ownership of local financial operations
  • Preparation and management of annual budgets and regular forecasts
  • Monthly financial reporting and variance analysis
  • P&L oversight and performance tracking
  • Cash flow management and finanical planning
  • Ensuring compliance with local regulations and accounting standards
  • Cooperation with external auditors, tax advisors and authorities
  • Acting as a Finance Business Partner, you will support management with financial insights and decision-making, while identifying risks and opportunities in business performance
  • Leading and developing a small local finance team
  • Setting clear priorities and ensuring smooth daily operations
  • Creating a structured, accountable and collaborative team environment

What we are looking for

  • Fluent English for a confident daily communication with global teams and colleagues
  • 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or controlling
  • Previous experience in a Finance Manager / Senior Finance / Chief Accountant role
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Solid understanding of P&L management and business performance metrics
  • Experience leading or supervising a small team is a great plus
  • Strong business mindset – ability to go beyond numbers and see the bigger picture
  • Experience in an international company is a plus
