As Head of Technical Program Management, you’ll be the leader who brings simplicity to complexity — making delivery predictable, trusted and smooth while empowering teams to do their best work. You’ll lead a seasoned group of Program, Project and Delivery Managers and shape how we scale excellence across product and client engagements.
This role is all about leadership with impact, not process for process’s sake — because real delivery confidence comes from clarity, not bureaucracy.
What you’ll be responsible for
Leading delivery at scale
- Own and shape how technical programs are delivered across EmbedIT
- Set clear, pragmatic standards for planning, dependencies, risks and reporting
- Increase predictability and confidence across complex, multi-team initiatives
Building strong leaders, not just processes
- Lead, mentor and grow a team of Program, Project and Delivery Managers
- Set the bar for accountability, ownership and communication quality
- Build a clear capability and career model for delivery professionals
Making execution work in the real world
- Ensure programs start with realistic assumptions — and stay on track
- Surface risks early and address them before they become surprises
- Act as the escalation point for cross-team, resource or client-critical issues
- Work closely with Product, Engineering and Account leadership as a true partner
Being a trusted voice
- Translate delivery complexity into clear, executive-level insight
- Provide leadership with honest, data-driven delivery signals
- Act as a trusted delivery advisor for key clients when needed
What success looks like (first 3–6 months)
- Delivery becomes calmer, more predictable, more transparent
- Fewer last-minute escalations, more proactive conversations
- Program managers operate with shared language, tools and standards
- Product and engineering leaders trust delivery as an enabler, not a constraint
What we’re looking for
- 10+ years of experience in program / portfolio delivery leadership
- A strong background in technical delivery environments
- Experience running multiple concurrent programs across products and clients
- The ability to scale delivery practices without over-engineering them
- Confidence partnering with senior leaders and executives
- Fluent English — you’re comfortable leading discussions, influencing stakeholders and presenting complex topics clearly in an international environment
- Strong leadership presence and calm under pressure
- The ability to influence without relying on hierarchy
- Sound judgment and decision-making in ambiguous situations
- A pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset
- Natural ownership — you don’t wait to be asked when something needs fixing
Nice to have (not deal-breakers):
- Fintech or financial services experience
- Background in hybrid product / consulting environments
- Experience with both Agile and more structured delivery models
