.NET Software Developer

The Opportunity

EmbedIT Vietnam is expanding its engineering team to deliver large-scale enterprise platforms and digital solutions for financial institutions across Southeast Asia.

As a .NET Software Engineer, you will design and build backend services powering critical business processes, integrations, and mobile applications. You will work in a modern engineering environment combining scalable microservices with stable core systems, ensuring both innovation and reliability.

This role offers strong exposure to cloud-native technologies, distributed systems, and collaboration with international teams across multiple time zones.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain backend services using modern .NET (preferably .NET 6/8+)
Build and enhance RESTful APIs to support scalable systems and integrations
Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following engineering best practices
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance in production environments
Contribute to system design, including microservices and cloud-native architectures
Work with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
Collaborate with QA, DevOps, Analysts, and Product Owners across the delivery lifecycle
Participate in code reviews and maintain high standards for code quality and documentation
Continuously improve systems by adopting modern technologies, CI/CD, and reducing technical debt

Qualifications & Experience

Mandatory

4+ years of experience in backend development with .NET
Strong experience in building RESTful APIs
Solid understanding of software design principles and clean code practices
Hands-on experience or exposure to microservices architecture
Experience with containerization (Docker) and basic Kubernetes exposure is a plus
Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., CosmosDB, MongoDB) or relational databases (e.g., SQL Server)
Good problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment

Nice to have

Experience working with cloud platforms (preferably Azure, but AWS/GCP also acceptable)
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or similar)
Experience with distributed systems concepts (e.g., caching, messaging, pub/sub)
Knowledge of Redis or other caching mechanisms
