EmbedIT Vietnam is seeking an experienced Senior Business Consultant to support the growth and delivery of our consumer lending platform business across Southeast and South Asia.
This is a senior, client-facing role combining pre-sales support, solution shaping, and business consulting delivery. The successful candidate will work with sales teams, clients, product specialists, and delivery teams to define solutions that combine:
- our consumer lending platform
- business consulting services in the consumer lending domain
The role will focus particularly on the business consulting part of delivery, helping clients adopt the platform effectively, improve lending operations and business processes, and achieve measurable KPI improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Sales and Solution Shaping
- Support sales and pre-sales activities, including discovery meetings, workshops, proposal support, and client presentations.
- Understand client business goals, pain points, and transformation priorities.
- Translate client needs into a solution approach combining platform capabilities with business consulting services.
- Contribute to high-level solution design across areas such as loan origination, loan management, collections, risk management, data modeling, analytics, and AI-related use cases.
- Work with internal product, technical, and delivery teams to ensure proposed solutions are realistic and aligned with client requirements.
Business Consulting Delivery
- Lead or support business consulting workstreams during implementation and transformation engagements.
- Help clients define how to operate the platform effectively within their business environment and governance model.
- Advise clients on lending operations, process design, target operating model, and business improvement opportunities.
- Identify process gaps and recommend practical improvements to increase efficiency, adoption, and business value.
- Support alignment between business requirements, platform capabilities, and delivery priorities.
Consumer Lending Domain Advisory
- Ability to engage credibly at a high level across the main domains of consumer lending, including:
- loan origination, including KYC, data-driven decisioning, scoring, product offerings, anti-fraud, digital channels, and sales management
- loan management, including product management, instalment schedules, restructuring, payments and repayments, customer care, retention tools, and value-added services
- collections, including data-driven decisions and analytics, segmentation, workflow and tool management across early, late, field, and legal collections, as well as applied AI such as voicebots
- data platforms, including DWH, Big Data, Data Lakehouse, streaming and event-driven schemes, feature and offer stores, CDP, and data governance
- BI and AI, including reporting and self-service portals, predictive model development, and applied AI in consumer finance such as sentiment analysis, audio analytics, smart OCR, and recommendation engines
- Recognized depth in at least one of these areas, with the ability to provide more detailed advisory support.
- Help clients apply industry best practices through platform adoption and process change.
- Contribute to value articulation, KPI definition, and business case discussions.
Stakeholder Management
- Build trusted relationships with business stakeholders, operations teams, product owners, and senior client sponsors.
- Facilitate discussions across business and technical audiences.
- Act as a bridge between client business teams, internal delivery teams, and platform experts.
- Represent the company credibly in client-facing engagements across regional markets.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in business consulting, solution consulting, transformation delivery, or domain advisory within banking, fintech, or consumer lending
- Strong knowledge of consumer lending processes and operating models
- Proven experience in some of the following areas:
- loan origination, loan management, collections, risk management, lending operations, data and reporting
- Experience supporting pre-sales, discovery, workshops, and solution definition
- Ability to connect business needs with platform capabilities and define practical solution approaches
- Strong stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, and presentation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Fluent English, written and spoken
- Strong business acumen and client orientation
- Ability to structure ambiguous problems and turn them into practical recommendations
- Confidence working with senior business stakeholders and technical teams
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Self-driven, proactive, and outcome-oriented mindset
- Ability to work effectively in a multinational environment
Preferred
- Experience with consumer lending platforms, banking systems, or fintech products
- Familiarity with solution architecture concepts and high-level solution design
- Experience with data modeling, analytics, decisioning, or AI use cases in lending
- Experience in consulting firms, financial technology companies, or banking transformation programs
- Experience working in multinational or regional environments
