We’re looking for a Cloud Data Engineer to help us design, build and run modern data solutions in Azure. If you enjoy working with data, lakehouse architectures and tools like Microsoft Fabric or Azure Data Factory, this might be right up your street.
You’ll be a key part of our data team, building reliable and scalable data pipelines that power analytics and reporting. You’ll have real space to influence both the architecture and how we work with data across the organisation.
What you’ll be doing
- Designing, building and maintaining end-to-end data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric / Azure Data Factory
- Working with batch and streaming data
- Contributing to a modern Data Lakehouse architecture (bronze / silver / gold layers)
- Integrating data from internal systems, APIs and external data sources
- Implementing data quality checks, validation logic and monitoring
- Using Dataflows, Pipelines, Notebooks and Spark where they make sense
- Collaborating closely with data analysts, BI developers and product / domain teams
- Following best practices around security, RBAC, CI/CD, governance and cost management
- Helping troubleshoot and support production data workloads
What we’re looking for
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric or Azure Data Factory
- Solid understanding of Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL, and/or Synapse or Databricks
- Practical experience with SQL and Python / PySpark for data transformations
- Experience with Git-based workflows and CI/CD (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions)
- Good understanding of cloud concepts such as orchestration, triggers, security and cost optimisation
- Can work independently, but know when to ask for input or validation
- Data flows understanding through systems and innovative approach
- Fluent Czech/Slovak and English
Nice to have
- Certifications such as Fabric Data Engineer Associate, Fabric Analytics Engineer or Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- Experience with Delta Lake, lakehouse patterns and data governance tools (e.g. Purview)
- Background in monitoring, alerting and performance tuning of cloud workloads
