Java Software Engineer

Your role

As a Java Developer, you’ll be designing and implementing backend solutions that power our mobile clients and connect seamlessly with core enterprise systems and processes. You'll work within a modular architecture: stable, mature components ensure reliability, while newer services give you the space to innovate and grow. It's ot just about coding - you'll design discussions, contribute ideas, and help shape best practices and architectural standards as your experience builds.

What we are looking for

  • Solid hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot, and eagerness to deepen your expertise
  • Familiarity with messaging systems (RabbitMQ or Kafka) or the motivation to get into them
  • Understanding of relational databases, especially Oracle DB
  • Awareness of enterprise architecture, microservices, and design patterns — and a willingness to grow further
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab), containers, or Kubernetes is a plus
  • Interest in caching/distributed solutions like HazelCast
  • A collaborative mindset, curiosity to learn, and a proactive, problem-solving approach
  • Strong communication skills — able to explain ideas clearly and listen to others
  • A team player who enjoys pair programming, code reviews, and supporting colleagues
  • Adaptability and openness to feedback, with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Fluent in the Czech and English languages

Time off

Onboarding

Once you accept our offer, we’ll guide you through our onboarding process which includes orientation sessions, training and introductions to your team and key stakeholders,  and assign you a “buddy” to help get you settled.  We want to ensure that you feel welcome and prepared as you begin your journey at EmbedIT.
