We are looking for a new member for our BI Data team.
The team has responsibilities for the operation of many platforms and other supportive tools used in BI domain. For example, we install clusters, extend HW, implement new SW or supportive BI tools. Subsequently our team maintains, supports, updates, patches, upgrades, secures, and monitors these platforms and tools.
We work with various tools and technologies. Our administrators make their life easier with a configuration management tool. We support physical and virtual servers usually running on Linux OS.
Our business partners are from Home Credits in countries (India, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam and Kazakhstan). We are also looking for new opportunities all over the world. The team is distributed between two locations - Prague and Brno.
Typical Workload
Your primary responsibility as a DevOps Engineer will be to provide Linux platform maintenance, configuration management, automation, development, operations, monitoring and product support from an infrastructure and operational perspective. Prioritize working with code and using it as a tool, instead of performing tasks manually.
You shouldn’t be a stranger to continuous integration, pipelines, virtualization technologies, containers etc.
You will participate in design and automation improvements to continuously improve production and non-production environments. Opportunities to participate in projects may present themselves.
Your experience and skills
- Good knowledge of Linux
- Good knowledge of any configuration tool
- Basic knowledge of Python & Bash scripting
- Knowledge of working with GitLab & CI/CD pipelines
- Basic knowledge of monitoring tools
- Problem-solving attitude
- Collaborative team spirit
- Willingness to learn new things
Nice to have
- Experience as Linux Administrator / DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role
- Knowledge of Ansible configuration management tools
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or similar certification/training
- Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or similar certification/training
- Experience with applications/tools running on Linux (ex. Cloudera, Informatica,...)
